Michael Tsipursky, MD, MS

CEO, Co-Founder

Vitreoretinal specialist, former Department Chair and Assistant Medical Director at Carle Health. Bringing 15 years of clinical experience with multiple book chapters and publications on various retinal pathology and surgery. Experience in multiple clinical trials as a primary investigator. Long track record of translational research experience.

Professor Joseph Irudayaraj, Ph.D

CSO, Co-Founder
Professor Joseph Irudayaraj has a doctorate in biological engineering, and a dual masters in bioengineering and computer sciences. As one of the leaders in the application of nanotechnology in biomedicine, his group has developed biosensors, drug delivery approaches, and single molecule tools for quantifying mRNA targets and protein interactions for a range of biomedical applications. His team has published over 350 refereed journal articles, supervised over 40 graduate students and 25 postdoctoral scholars. He has taught at Utah State University, Pennsylvania State University, and Purdue University. At present he is the Founder Professor of Bioengineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Sean

Sean Konrath

Operations Manager

Sean received his BS in Integrative Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2020 and his MS in Law from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law in 2021. Before joining the ReVive team, he worked as a contractor for the U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers as a studying Snake Fungal Disease in the endangered Louisiana Pine Snake. He has also had his research in O2 detection using Near Infrared Spectroscopy in wounds presented at the American College of Wound Healing and Tissue Repair Conference. His professional interests include project management, novel therapeutics, and drug development.

Mathew Cherian, Ph.D

Vice President of Operations and Development

Dr. Mathew Cherian is a pharmaceutical industry veteran with 30+ years of experience. He held key roles in drug development for major companies like Pharmacia and Pfizer in the US and Italy. His expertise includes sterile dosage forms like liposomes, lipid nanoparticles, and emulsions. Mathew serves on the International Pharmaceutical Society’s Executive Committee and holds a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Rhode Island.

Wen Ren, Ph.D

Research Scientist (Sub-Award)

Dr. Wen Ren has his B.S. in Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry. His expertise is in nanoparticle technology and nanochemistry. He has over 10 years of experience in developing and utilizing nanostructures and functionalization strategies for enhanced detection of disease biomarkers. He has developed surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy probes, highly sensitive lateral flow assays, and fabrication and characterization of nanodelivery systems.
